I haven't had a real post in a long time. Since June 18. So what's been up with your old droog?
I started reading again. Everyone I meet tells me frightening stories about UIUC and I am becoming a bit frightened. So to prepare, I've started reading this summer. I have a few books I want to finish before I leave. This way, I am in a reading and absorbing mood when school starts. My books I had planned on reading are A Clockwork Orange, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Hell's Angels, The Zimmerman Telegram, Cannery Row, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I also want to reread Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Better Than Sex. I have a lot ahead of me.
I've ordered a book online. But not on Ebay or yahoo.auctions. I've learned that anything over $200 is a scam. I've ordered the book from Abebooks.com and it's a 1st edition/1st printing of Better Than Sex by Hunter S. Thompson. I already have the paperback copy so this will purely be for collection. I am now a COLLECTOR. My typewriter works. So that's good. My dad has been trying to get me a laptop for college with little results. My mom is already packing stuff for college. I don't get my college roommate info till July 31, so that sucks. I've been here doing nothing. Reading and wasting time on the computer.
